I’m a total Holga novice, but sometimes I get lucky, like with the above shot. It probably helped that my subject has such good balance (and didn’t know I was taking this photo).
After years of lazy point-and-snap-and-delete-and-try-again digital photography, it’s been fun getting back into film photography. And the crap-shoot Holga experience makes the anticipation of getting your prints back even more exciting. I haven’t added this recent roll to Flickr yet, but you can lookit a couple sets of my early Holga photos there now if you wanna.

last weekend, i went on a whirlwind road trip through northern california redwoods country. along the way, i saw a lot of beautiful things, including goats, elk, sandy beaches and tons of really, really old trees. these photos don’t do it justice (more to come…).
