The chatty neighborhood birds were out in force this morning, and a cute male Downy Woodpecker visited the suet feeder on my deck. I’d never seen one before, and his tummy was so… *downy*, I thought he could be a baby Pileated or Northern Flicker, which I see fairly often. But he’s just the littlest woodpecker in North America.
